From the beginning of January Top Tubes customers will be able to experience the final fruition of the multi million pound investment made in 2013 when our new No. 2 mill was installed.
The addition of a state-of-the-art automatic packaging line from Turkish manufacturer Mekosan, pictured right during installation, will have an immediate effect by allowing much faster throughput and thus better production times.
Until now packaging on No. 2 mill has been carried out manually, preventing the mill from operating to its full potential; once the new packing facility is fully operational production on No. 2 mill will be able to increase because of the much faster packing facility.
“The new machine will be able to handle tube from 1.8 metres to 8.5 metres in length” says Production Manager Simon Moore, ”and we’re really looking forward to the impact it will have on production”.
